A compliance calendar for limited liability companies

Most compliance problems come from a missed date, not from bad intent. Put these items in one calendar.

Monthly

  • VAT return (if you file monthly) and withholding tax by the 10th of the following month where applicable.
  • GOSI contributions and wage protection reporting.

Quarterly

  • VAT return by the end of the month after each quarter.
  • Review of your Nitaqat band.

Annually

  • Zakat (and income tax where applicable) return within 120 days of year-end.
  • Financial statements prepared, audited where required, and deposited on Qawaem.
  • Annual confirmation of CR data under the new Commercial Register Law.
  • Partners' meeting to approve the accounts, as the articles require.
  • Renewal of municipal licences, chamber membership and other permits by their due dates.

Ongoing

  • Update the CR and articles after any change in partners, managers, capital or activity.
  • Keep certificates (zakat, VAT, GOSI) valid for tenders and payments.
